For the past 16 years The Southland Committee has co-sponsored the East West Orchid Show in downtown Los Angeles. Beginning in 2005 the Committee has an opportunity to co-sponsor a new orchid show with the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California, east of Los Angeles. We will keep you updated on the progress of the show and details as they become available. The Southland Orchid Show Committee would like to thank all the orchid societies of the southern California area for their support and hard work in assuring the success of the previous orchid shows. We continue to acknowledge the dedication and effort the southern California orchid growers have given this organization. You have all provided the show with some of the highest quality orchids in the United States. We look forward to your continued involvement in the new orchid show and wonderful opportunity we have with the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. The Southland Orchid Show Committee will need additional help and volunteers for the future shows. To make these shows a success, we will need further involvement at the grass roots level from each of the southern California orchid societies and individual members.
